Gracie was thrilled that warm weather was on the way. She loved her home in the spring. The lily pads were blooming a beautiful color of pink. Gracie’s favorite color was pink. There were butterflies stopping to rest on the lily pads. The butterflies had lovely colors on their wings. The cattails were standing up tall and swaying in the gentle wind. The fish were swimming and jumping in the warm water. Mother Duck would be there soon with her little baby ducks. Gracie sat on her lily pad and thought about how wonderful spring is. She wished everyone could live in a pond.
